Golden Raintree

6 1/2" x 17 1/2", Golden Raintree, watercolor

In the works. This tree is just outside my front window and I couldn't resist taking a photo. I used my handy plant identifier app, which is really so incredible. It includes other nifty information about other plants and overall gardening maintenance. This tree is a perennial, which blooms once a year, bares fruit, is toxic, is not native to Florida, but does well in this climate and has several other names, such as, Pride of India. For the longest time I thought this tree was part of the Mimosa family, but I was wrong. I love the Mimosas, there was one in front of our house when I was growing up.
