Here is a long arm quilting machine at a quilting shop in Greenacres, Florida. This machine is basically an extremely large sewing machine that is computerized and does the actual quilting for you. I brought my finished patch work layer, batting(purchased in the store) and backing fabric to be sewn together. I was going to sew the binding together myself, but the store clerk suggested experimenting on a smaller piece to begin with. I am learning the language of sewing. There are so many unfamiliar terms and at the same time fascinating. Quilting has opened up a whole new world of creativity.
