I’ve experienced a spiritual connection with my last several paintings. I’m into the flow of the process, applying layer over layer and manipulating the paint on the canvas. Much of my work is derived from nature’s inspiration. It’s much like being in the garden raking leaves, pruning bushes or planting bulbs and watching them grow. I can compare nature to my paintings as I watch them evolve much like a newly planted garden. I’ve also found peace in a part of myself, which is surfacing in my work. Over all I think there’s an element of elegance to my paintings that’s beginning to show its self.
