I'm realizing that the format I'm working with is really throwing me off. I'm used to working with horizontal bands of color and now I'm working vertically on a long stretch of canvas. There must be a way I can make this work. It has been a struggle, but I'm learning a lot. The image below is what I have now, but I realize it's still not meshing.
